With advanced infrastructure, the center pioneers innovative technologies, including cancer diagnostics, drug delivery systems, and biosensing platforms. CT3 is the new center established with Ministry support for LifeSci, which has completed over 100 projects, published 1,200 high-impact papers, and holds 13 international patents. Supported by national and EU funds, CT3 aims to accelerate innovations that benefit both the Turkish economy and global health through collaboration between academia and industry.

Along with the fact that Gebze Technical University resides within several Industrial Zones of Tuzla, Gebze and Kocaeli, its partnership with Kocaeli Silicon Valley project drives our university – in collaboration with Technology Transfer Office - towards supporting industrial R&D activities through research that solves sectoral problems in addition to education skilled R&D personnel.

T.R. No. 29290, dated 9 March 2015, accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 16/02/2015. With the decision number 2015/7321 published in the Official Gazette, it was decided to change the name of the Hemodialysis-Transplantation Institute within the Rectorate of Dokuz Eylül University to Izmir International Biomedicine and Genome Institute, and our institute started its educational activities. The first student recruitment to our institute was made in the 2016-2017 academic year.
The Department of Genomic Sciences and Biotechnology was established within our institute and started its educational activities. Master's and PhD students study in this department. There are 1 associate professor and 3 doctor faculty members in the institute staff within the department. These faculty members carry out our academic activities by assigning them from other academic units of our university. Our Biomedicine and Health Technologies department, which was opened at the establishment of our institute, has not started its educational activities yet.
He started teaching with the Molecular Biology and Genetics Master's and Doctoral Programs affiliated with the Department of Genome Sciences and Molecular Biotechnology at the Izmir International Biomedicine and Genome Institute, which was established on 16/02/2015.
With the senate decision numbered 439 meeting dated 07/04/2015 and the YÖK Board decision dated 28/04/2015, the "Department of Genomic Sciences and Molecular Biotechnology" and the "Department of Biomedicine and Health Technologies" were established. In its initial establishment phase, our institute operated within the Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center until February 2018, and after this date, the center and the institute continue their activities separately.

Dr. Mehmet Füzün, our founding director Prof.Dr. It was opened with the participation of Mehmet Öztürk, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Fikri Işık, Izmir Governor Mustafa Toprak, Nobel Prize winner Sir Tim Hunt, as well as many local and foreign scientists.
Our institute started its activities in the same building with the Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center during its initial establishment phase and currently continues its activities in the same building.

SUNUM’s research areas with its competent infrastructure in areas such as the design, synthesis, and characterization of nanomaterials and nanostructures, as well as the design and production of micro-nano systems developed from nanostructures. These activities span various application areas, including medicine, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, energy, cosmetics, automotive, agriculture, food, and environmental sectors.
SUNUM, which has a research staff of over 200 researchers, is working to become a continuously developing, sustainable, globally exemplary and leading Center of Excellence, open to all stakeholders, in cooperation with approximately 500 institutions, more than 100 of which are international.
