Zeytinburnu Medicinal Plants Garden is Turkey's first medicinal plant garden. It was established on an area of ​​14 decares and opened in 2005. The project carried out by Zeytinburnu Municipality and Merkezefendi Traditional Medicine Association aims to: > Researching, producing and promoting medicinal plants, > Contributing to the protection and development of plant diversity, > To promote the effective and safe use of medicinal plants, > To encourage the cultivation of medicinal plants, > Providing workspace and materials for training programs, > To lay the groundwork for studies on utilizing medical flora. There are more than 700 medicinal plants in our garden. Most of the plants are labeled. It is possible to get extensive and vocal information about the plant through the QR code on some labels. In our garden, plant waste is used as natural fertilizer. Synthetic fertilizers and pesticides are not used. Drip and sprinkler methods are used for irrigation.
